Artist's Description
This is a composite image of the Burke Brise Soleil closing for the day - just before sunset. These "wings" are the signature feature of the Milwaukee Art Museum's Quadracci Pavillion. This shot was taken through the railing that spans Lincoln Memorial Drive. The curvature of this railing is reminiscent of the railing features of the adjacent Saarinen structure and a nod, I'm told, by Calatrava to that masterpiece.
